The commemorative coin “We are strong. We are together. Donetsk region” is dedicated to an integral part of Ukraine, defined by the Constitution of Ukraine, – the Luhansk region. Its territorial affiliation to Ukraine is confirmed by international law and recognized by the world community.
This coin continues the series of commemorative coins dedicated to the administrative-territorial units of Ukraine, which, in the context of armed aggression, confirm the importance of unity and solidarity of the nation in the struggle for freedom and independence.
The reverse of the coin features a stylized map of Ukraine with clearly defined administrative boundaries on a mirror background. On the map, against a matte background that contrasts with the rest of the image, the Donetsk region is highlighted, emphasizing its belonging to a single state space. At the top, the inscription DONETSK REGION is placed in a circle, and at the bottom is the slogan of the series WE ARE STRONG. WE ARE TOGETHER.
The obverse of the coin features the small State Emblem of Ukraine (at the top); surrounded by an Old Russian ornament, with the inscriptions UKRAINE / 10 / HRYVNIAS (in a semicircle) in the center; against the background of the ornament, the year of minting of the coin – 2025 (at the bottom) and the logo of the Banknote and Coin Mint of the National Bank of Ukraine (on the right) are indicated.
