The commemorative banknote “Unity Saves the World” is dedicated to the unbreakable spirit of the Ukrainian people in the struggle for freedom and European values, the consolidation of Ukrainian society to protect its territorial integrity, and the unity of the democratic world in the face of Russian aggression. The commemorative 50 hryvnia banknote of 2024 with the signature of the Governor of the National Bank of Ukraine Andriy Pyshnyi is of the EU series with the numbers 0000001-0300000; it contains security features of the current denomination series of banknotes and additional optically variable security features; the circulation is 300,000 pcs. [of which: 299,952 banknotes in souvenir packaging, two uncut sheets (24 banknotes on one sheet).
Description of the obverse: the front side of the commemorative banknote features an artistic composition in the central part, which reflects a stylized outline of Ukraine, associated with the heart, to which the vessels approach.
The background image is of a girl wearing a military helmet and looking towards the West.At the bottom of the commemorative banknote, against the background of the globe, there is a stylized image of Europe, from whose countries the vessels of aid and support for Ukraine seem to be coming.The stylized hearts placed between the vessels symbolize sacrifice and compassion.
The upper part of the commemorative banknote has a watermark in the center.
To the right of the watermark field is a through element - a stylized chevron of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and a special relief element in the form of a circle for people with impaired vision.
To the left of the watermark field is the inscription UKRAINE and the image of the Small State Emblem of Ukraine.Below the watermark field on both sides is a stylized composition of filled and outlined squares (the central squares indicate the denomination of the commemorative banknote), a translucent strip filled with the outline of the logo of the National Bank of Ukraine.Below the stripe in the center of the commemorative banknote is the inscription UNITY SAVES THE WORLD and two text blocks (left and right) in Ukrainian and English:UNITY / AND SOLIDARITY / WITH THE UKRAINIAN PEOPLE / ARE BRINGING CLOSER / UKRAINE'S VICTORY / IN THE FIGHT AGAINST / THE RUSSIAN AGGRESSOR, / AND ARE SAVING THE WORLD / FROM THE CHAOS / AND DARKNESS / OF VIOLENCE.
The vertical inscription NATIONAL BANK OF UKRAINE, the signature of the Governor of the National Bank of Ukraine and the word GOVERNOR are in the lower left part; the inscription FIFTY Hryvnias is in the lower center part. The digital denomination is placed horizontally in the lower right part of the commemorative banknote. The design of the banknote's front side is complemented by other elements made with multicolor printing.
Description of the reverse: the main image of the commemorative banknote is a symbolic composition of clasped hands, symbolizing cooperation, mutual assistance, trust and partnership against the background of a stylized trident, the symbol of the Ukrainian state.
The upper part of the commemorative banknote features a stylized image of the denomination's numerical designation formed by a protective grid.
The inscription FIFTY / Hryvnia is located vertically in the upper right part of the banknote and horizontally in the lower center.The numerical denomination of the 50 denomination is placed horizontally in the upper right part of the banknote and vertically (together with the graphic designation of the hryvnia) in the lower left part of the commemorative banknote.In the upper part of the banknote, in the center, is the inscription UNITY IS STRONG!
The lower part of the commemorative banknote bears the year of issue, 2024. The serial number is printed twice. The horizontal number (with variable height of digits) is printed along the top edge of the commemorative banknote in red ink, and the vertical number is printed along the left edge of the commemorative banknote in black ink. The design of the reverse side of the banknote is complemented by other elements made with multicolor printing.
