The obverse of the coin features: in the upper part of the embossed background is the inscription UKRAINE, below which is the Small State Emblem of Ukraine, with the numbers of the minting year 2018 to the left and right; in the center is a stylized composition: above the crossed swords is the Phoenix as a symbol of rebirth; below is the logo of the National Bank of Ukraine Mint and the denomination of the coin in a semicircle - TEN Hryvnias.
The reverse of the coin depicts a map of Ukraine against a relief background with the inscription WHO IF NOT US; in a circle is the inscription DAY OF UKRAINIAN VOLUNTEER.
