On the obverse of the coin are: the small State Emblem of Ukraine (left), the inscription UKRAINE (above in a semicircle), the year of minting 2019 (right), the denomination of TEN Hryvnias (in a semicircle below); in the center is a stylized composition: flames, against which is a cross, a symbol of medicine, surrounded by camouflaged debris symbolizing the drama of war; below the debris is the logo of the National Bank of Ukraine Mint.
The reverse of the coin features the inscription 100 against a background of stylized waves, with the zeros representing the wind rose (a vector diagram characterizing wind directions) and a trident superimposed on an anchor with years on either side: 1918, 2018. There are inscriptions: CREATION OF UKRAINIAN NAVY (above), NAVAL FLOTUS (below).
