The commemorative coin “Communications and Cybersecurity Troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine” is dedicated to Ukrainian signalmen who provide daily communication and command and control of troops, overcome complex challenges and threats to protect Ukraine in the information and cyberspace.
Communications and cybersecurity troops are special forces responsible for planning, deploying and maintaining communications and information systems, combat command and control systems, and warning systems. They guarantee effective data exchange between military units and ensure cybersecurity in a state of emergency or martial law.
The obverse of the coin depicts the Small State Emblem of Ukraine (above); framed by an ancient Russian ornament in the center are the inscriptions: UKRAINE / 10 / Hryvnia (semicircle); the year of minting - 2024 (below) and the logo of the National Bank of Ukraine Mint (right).
The reverse of the coin bears the inscriptions: STRONG LINK! and MILITARY COMMUNICATIONS AND CYBER SECURITY OF THE AFU. In the center of the composition, like a shield protecting the information space, is the emblem of the Communications and Cyber Security Troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, with an eight-pointed star at its base, surrounded by crossed orbits and crossed lightning bolts. The background of the coin depicts labyrinths symbolizing the transmission of encrypted data through the intricate defense systems of cyberspace, where an invisible war is waged.
