The obverse of the coin features a stylized composition containing an element of the cockade of the Ukrainian Sich Riflemen Legion – the heraldic Galician lion leaning on a stone block with the inscription U.S.S. 1914 (the year the legion was founded). The mirror background features: the inscription UKRAINE and a facsimile of Vasyl Vyshyvany's signature (at the top); the year of minting 2025, the small State Emblem of Ukraine, the denomination 2 with the graphic symbol of the hryvnia, a stylized pen – a symbol of his poetic and diplomatic activity, the logo of the Banknote and Coin Mint of the National Bank of Ukraine, and the inscription WILHELM VON HABSBURG (at the bottom).
