The reverse of the coin depicts the Bohdan self-propelled artillery unit during combat deployment in a steppe landscape, emphasizing its mobility and adaptability to various combat conditions. The dynamics of the shot convey the power of Ukrainian artillery, and the background of the coin features the silhouette of a portrait of Bohdan Khmelnytsky, symbolizing the unbreakable spirit of the Ukrainian army and the historical axis that unites the past and present in the struggle for independence. The lower part of the coin bears the inscription “САУ БОГДАНА” (Bogdana self-propelled artillery unit).
The obverse of the coin features a mirror image of Zmiinyi Island, which was successfully liberated with the support of the Bogdan self-propelled gun. Near the island are stylized snakes leaving the territory, symbolizing the enemy's retreat. At the top of the coin is the small State Emblem of Ukraine; on the left, on lightning-shaped zigzags symbolizing the power of artillery strikes, are the inscriptions: UKRAINE (vertically), the year of minting of the coin – 2025, as well as the denomination 5 and the graphic sign of the hryvnia. At the bottom center is the logo of the Banknote and Coin Mint of the National Bank of Ukraine.
