Prince Albert II & Princess Charlène - 10th Wedding Anniversary
Monaco has issued this 2 Euro coin on the occasion of the 10th wedding anniversary of Prince Albert II and Princess Charlène of Monaco. The civil wedding of Prince Albert II and Charlène took place on July 1st, 2011. The 2 euro commemorative coin was minted in proof quality and features an image of the princely couple in profile. The portrait is surrounded by the inscriptions "MARIAGE PRINCIER" and "MONACO" as well as the year-dates "2011" and "2021". The limited 2 euro commemorative coin from Monaco is delivered in the original box including a certificate of authenticity.
Monaco 2 Euro 2022 - 2021 Wedding & 2022 Prince Albert I
The 2 euro coin in proof quality was issued in commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the death of Prince Albert I. The motive features a portrait of Albert I and the inscription for the occasion of issue "ALBERT Ier 1848 - 1922". Also included in the design are the mint marks of the Monnaie de Paris and the engraver general Joaquin Jimenez, as well as the state of issue "MONACO" and the year of issue "2022".
Albert I was born Albert Honoré Charles Grimaldi in Paris on November 13th, 1848. The son of Charles III of Monaco and Antoinette de Mérode-Westerloo ruled the Principality of Monaco from 1889 until his death in June 1922. The commemorative coin from Monaco is limited to 15,000 pieces and will be delivered in the original box including a certificate of authenticity.
