The 2 Euro 2023 coin from Spain, entitled “Presidency of the Council of the European Union”, commemorates Spain's presidency of the Council of the EU, an event that occurs once every 13.5 years.
Obverse: The obverse of the coin shows the logo of the Spanish Presidency of the Council of the EU, consisting of the letters “UE” (Union Europea) and the number “23”. Around the official logo is the inscription “ESPANA 2023 - PRESIDENCIA ESPAÑOLA CONSEJO DE LA UNIÓN EUROPEA” (Spain 2023 - Spanish Presidency and Council of the European Union). The mintmark of the Spanish Mint, the letter “M”, is also placed at the bottom.
Reverse: The reverse of the coin shows the face value of 2 euros and a map of Europe.
The coin is made of Cu/Ni/Brass metal, measures 25.75 mm and weighs 8.5 grams. The quality of the coin is Unc, and its mintage is 1,500,000. An excellent choice for collectors and those who appreciate history and cultural ties.
